Vaasthu is a ‘sastra’ that explains the properties of the earth on which we live, the location and the house where we dwell. The name ‘Vaasthu’ is derived from the noun ‘vasthu’, which means a ‘thing’ and the verb ‘vaaasthu’, which means ‘to live’. It would be good if the shape of the housing plot were a square or elongated square.
